Countdown to Memorial Day! (What to do this May and A Packing List)

As of today, there are exactly three weeks until Memorial Day– the unofficial beginning of summer for as long as any of us can remember. For those of you beach lovers who are too eager to wait and are staying with us this month, don’t worry– the Wildwoods are astir with fun things to do! And for everyone who is coming to the Panoramic this summer, we have devised a foolproof list of frequently forgotten items for you to check off as you pack your vacation bags. What to do in Wildwood this May:

5/15 Wild Half Marathon, 8k and 5k

5/21-5/22 The Coast the Coast Bike Tour will pedal through the Wildwoods to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

5/27-29 Gymnastics Championships

5/30 International Kite Festival 

Things to Pack For the Family Beach Trip:

Here are some frequently forgotten items that can make your trip all the better! Be sure to check off these items while you’re packing!

-wallet (ID, cards, cash)

-at least 2 swimsuits for everyone
-coverups
-waterproof sunscreen AND aloe
-beach toys
-a cooler for all those ice cold drinks
-towels
-beach chairs
-umbrella
-sunglasses

Technology and Entertainment

-cords and chargers
-digital/waterproof camera
-earphones
-a good book
-a deck of cards/card games

Little Extras

-glasses for contact wearers (if your eyes get dry)
-medicine (allergies, aspirin, etc.)
-bottle opener– never know when you’ll need one!
-lip balm

-detangler for those beachy locks
